One of the highlights of the whole trek was that there were so many dogs around.
These two dogs were just perched upon the top of a hill from which you could see the mountains above a sea of clouds. They were just sitting there taking in the glorious sunrise
This dog is named is Laika or Polaris depending on who you ask, but that's only what we named it. You see, this dog traveled with our trekking group for 6 days without getting lost or needing any help, she just knew where to go. She might have done this with 100's of other groups who gave her 100's of other names. Even on the last day she was just lying outside the restaurant with our bags. Waiting to accompany the next group of trekkers.
We found these primary colored flags everywhere. While I did not find out what these flags mean exactly, to me it is almost like they are the flags of the mountains. They tell you exactly where you are and call on you to respect the surroundings that you find yourself in.
The sunrises throughout the trip were absolutely glorious. This one is at the very top of the trek, when in the morning the fog lifted, as if it were dramatically removing the curtains off of a statue that we had climbed a whole mountain to see. Then the sun rose casting a spotlight on the best features of this monstrous statue.
During that glorious sunrise, we witnessed this phenomenon known as a glory. My day had started with a statue unveiling and a rainbow halo following me around on the clouds, It couldn't get any better.
What's with people and making sculptures out of nature.
Cairns are really neat. Imagine just walking in the woods, alone, there could be a broken twig or a faint footstep in the mud, but that could be any animal. If, however, you come across a precariously balanced bunch of stones then it is 100% guaranteed that another human was here. No, other animal possesses both the whimsy and the dexterity to create such a structure and nature as a whole is usually working to increase entropy and actively trying to destroy this cairn if anything. That is kinda cool to me
